He holds Ph.D. and M.Sc degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University, Stanford, USA. B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering and B.Sc. in mathematics, both from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He worked for King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, the Ministry of Defense, and King Abdulaziz University. He has over 30 patents, 110 journal publications, 42 conference publications, and 8 book chapters.
